I have always loved being in the kitchen--ever since I can remember. As a little girl, I hung around the kitchen with my g/ma while she cooked meals for us. She never really baked, tho. She never really seemed to care to...don't get me wrong, she loved eating sweets, just not making them. That's where I stepped in. I was about 14 or so, when I actually began baking...cakes, cupcakes, cookies...really, whatever I could get ahold of...to fill the belly, er, void. 20 something years later, I can still be found in the kitchen...cooking and baking! Except now, my love of it has led me towards the "non-traditional" sweets...as in those with a 'lil flare. I'm always on the look out for a new recipe that'll knock my familys (& friends) socks off! This is my blog that'll tell the up's and down's of my love of baking. Hope you don't get too bored ;)
